( c5 T H" Z& YThe undersigned artists, collectors, dealers, historians, and China cultural enthusiasts petition Christies and collector Pierre Berge to return the two 18th Century bronzes (that were illegally removed from Beijing’s Summer Palace in1860), to their deserving owners, the people of China.

It is understood that because of technical issues they are now the property of Mr. Berge, who has obviously acquired them in a legal manner.4 j2 ~, y! s$ d, K2 O

+ [. ^3 o. Z" m" c- M7 u; NHowever, it is felt by the undersigned, that they belong in China as they are part of its cultural heritage.
